As a tourism and hospitality photographer, I have spent over 20 years travelling the world capturing places, events and experiences for major tourism and media brands.

I’m a passionate advocate for the tourism industry and the people who run it. My purpose is to visually inspire people to explore new places so that they get enriching experiences and my clients are able to grow.

Heidi’s experience

From hidden huts in Borneo to the Commonwealth Games

While my value lies in uncovering the unknown, much of my experience is in working for well-known tourism and media organisations.

I began my career in an adventure of photography and travel all over the world – think learning Portuguese in Brazil, cycling 500km through northern Thailand, photographing sick and homeless children in Bali, and escaping tsunami warnings in Phuket.

I then spent many years photographing for News Corp papers The Messenger, Adelaide Matters, and The Advertiser, which took me to Melbourne to cover the Commonwealth Games.

Almost ten years ago I returned to my first love – tourism – and have since helped share the stories of numerous businesses and tourism operators as well as photographed for major brands including SeaLink, South Australian Tourism Commission and RAA.

While my work with major brands proves my experience in large and complex projects, my diverse travel adventures has given me the knack for sharing the stories of people and places while showcasing their uniqueness, authenticity and beauty.

What to expect

Every project is collaborative, purpose-driven, and most of all fun.

After the initial phone call, we’ll meet for coffee, wine, or whatever you fancy. We’ll talk purpose and the shooting plan.

I’ll create a style board and bring on talent where needed.

The shoot is friendly and fun to encourage everyone to bring their best.

We will make the final selection of photos together, then I will edit them ready for use.
