LEARNING STYLE

Hands on. Listen to the videos. Think about things. Work out what you want to achieve. And then go practice. Above all, have fun with it. Don't get too serious.

HOMEWORK

Doing your homework will get you the best results. I believe you can't learn by just sticking your head in a book. You need to practice. We have all heard the '10000 hours to become a Master' saying.

There is no right and wrong way to do your homework. Photography is creative. Everyone will have an opinion on a photograph, and there are many 'rules', but there is nothing to say it is 'wrong.' Some sought after photo art is blurred, out of focus and has no defining subject.

FEEBACK AND SUPPORT

I've set up a Facebook group for feedback and support. I encourage you all to add your photos there for my feedback. You can also ask for support, suggestions and ideas from other members. The more sharing and discussion, the better.

COMMUNITY

If you want to develop your social media practice - let's make a community effort. Use the hashtag #betterpicsforbusiness in your post so we can see what each other is doing.

And if you want to tag me @heidiwhophotos I can give you feedback (and, of course, the 'hearts').

Q&A

Do I have to submit my photos on Facebook?

PM me if you have issues with others seeing your photos. But I honestly believe that feedback from everywhere is beneficial. Your photos are going to be seen in business - why not here first? Beginner to Master, we are all on the same photographic journey. The only difference is how long we've been on this road.

I need specific help with something - what can I do?

Email me your question at learn@heidiwho.com or through the Facebook group. If appropriate, I will answer it on Facebook, so everyone benefits.
