22 Years in Business: Reflecting on the Journey

Today marks 22 years since I officially started my photography business.

When I registered my ABN for Heidi Who Photos, I had no idea what the future would hold. What began as a passion quickly grew into a career that has taken me into so many different areas of photography.

Over the years, I’ve photographed weddings, portraits, commercial projects, and worked with businesses to create images that represent who they are and what they do.

About ten years ago, my work began to shift more strongly into tourism, food and lifestyle photography. This has now become the main focus of my work, and I'm incredibly passionate about it.

Working with destinations, accommodation providers, tourism operators and hospitality businesses allows me to combine storytelling, people, travel and visual creativity.

Running a business for more than two decades also means experiencing the full spectrum of the entrepreneurial journey. There have been years that felt effortless and others that were far more challenging. But every stage has shaped where I am today.

Photography continues to open doors to new places, new people and new experiences.

As I look ahead, I’m excited about continuing to travel, collaborate with inspiring businesses and keep evolving creatively.

To everyone who has supported my work over the years, thank you. I’m incredibly grateful.
